Sad to think of it but flesh (on many levels) is the one thing that separates us from God, if that isn’t bad enough we use it to separate ourselves from others as well. Why do we do this when Christ promised that once we were His, nothing could separate us from His love?
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39 KJV
There is enough that tries to pull us away from God and each other, let’s stop pushing each other away and looking for differences that divide us. Instead find common ground and press on towards the common goal of loving each other and sharing the gospel.
