The big question, we hear talk of spirituality and the word “god” thrown around. Let’s face it, most of the world not only doesn’t really understand what we as Christians believe neither do they realize that what we know is true has been revealed to us. They have ideas but don’t truly know. We are in a time in North America where the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is lost, watered down or just confused. We have to start from scratch in most cases when we share CHRIST with people. Just like the apostle Paul had to do on Mars Hill. We live in a culture where everything is a “god” so we need to be extra patient and share the one true God in all three of His glorious parts! Here are some helpful tips that will hopefully help reveal the truth and deity of Christ.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29 KJV)

Jesus is the final sacrifice for ALL sin. Not just a covering, rather the destruction of sin. Remember, until this point the sacrifice really only covered sin and had to be done over and over. CHRIST died on the cross to wipe the slate clean once and for all for those that would repent and put their faith in him. To do this He had to assume the entire wrath of God Almighty! God the Father had to turn his Eyes from CHRIST so that he may pile all sin past, present and future on the shoulders of His son.

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John12:46 KJV)

Jesus came to be the light in a world that had been covered in the darkness of sin, not only to save mankind from sin, but also from itself! Jesus is the light of the world. The only light for this world. There is none other like Him for he is the Son of the living God.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. (John 6:51 KJV)

Jesus is the “manna” from heaven that feeds our souls. The more we fill up on this bread the less we desire the foul food of the world. So we feed on the word of God which is alive and we will desire less the messed up and spoiled things that the world will offer us. Jesus offered up his flesh to save us, that old rugged cross is a reminder of that sacrifice.

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. (John 10:14 KJV)

Jesus calls us by name. When He calls his people they will know it is He that is calling.

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. (John 10:11 KJV)

Jesus is the one and only Good Shepherd for only a good shepherd will lay down his life for his fold, so we that hear His words and turn from our sin and receive him as Saviour shall receive eternal life in Heaven for He has prepared a place for us there!
