International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church
By Jason and Charlene Ryan on November 13, 2016
2 Corinthians 1:5 NIV "For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.". Christians in Canada and the United States have the huge privilege of being able to believe in Jesus and practice their faith publicly. Most of the world's population does not have that privilege. For millions, to merely believe in Jesus could mean death. If they aren't killed, they are persecuted. They lose employment, education, and health benefits. They are cut off from their families. Thousands are imprisoned just for believing in Jesus and it is estimated by Christians in Crisis, that nearly 300 believers in Jesus die every day because of their faith. Join us as Jason and Charlene Ryan of Voice of the Martyrs inform us of the plight of most followers of Jesus in the world, help us understand the situation better, and guide us on a way to help them, beginning with the key: prayer.
