God had given the whole world to King Nebuchadnezzar. In fact, in Jeremiah 27, God called Nebuchadnezzar his "servant". In a move that is common to all people, Nebuchadnezzar began to think his incredible success was a result of his wisdom, intelligence, craftiness and greatness. Little did he know that God was not going to let him get away with this lie. Pride comes before a fall. It was a steep fall for Nebuchadnezzar, indeed. Read Daniel 4 and Proverbs 16:18.
