Then and Now: Then: Slave to Sin. Now: Slave to Christ

Romans 6:5-14. Before Christ we were slaves to our sinful nature. Sin was our master, yet we willingly followed. The result was being subject to God's judgment. But Christ came and willingly submitted to God's will that he suffer and die for our sins. Now we have a new master: Jesus Christ himself. We no longer have to be slaves to sin, we have a righteous Lord who takes sin out of it and replaces it with His righteousness and the power to do true good.
