1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV), “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
When is the best time to rejoice in the Lord? Always.
When is the best time to pray? Continually.
When is the time we should be giving thanks? In all circumstances.
Why? Because it is God’s will for us through the person and work of Jesus.
Communicating with God is often like a phone call. We call, talk and then hang up until the next time. Our connection with God should be continuous and unbroken. It’s like modern internet: we’re always connected.
Let’s change our thinking about God. Start with a morning and evening list of things to talk to God about. When someone asks us to pray, pray right away. When we are feeling happy, immediately thank and praise God. When we’re quiet and uninterrupted, take the time to deliberately think about God, about a verse, about how great he is. This gets us into a habit of always having our mind set on God.
God bless as you connect with Him always.
