(From our elder team)
Lord, how do I pray?
You are the God who rules above all. We are weary. We are discouraged by constantly changing
regulations. We are bombarded with images and narrative from the media. What is really true? Which
is worse? Covid? The cure? Or the fall out from all the restrictions and lock downs? Either way Satan is
hard at work to steal, kill, and destroy. But, how do we pray about it? I pray for mercy, I pray for
strength to face the day. The verse You give me is not encouraging, its frightening. I think its a
warning.
“(Jeremiah 12:5) If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou
contend with horses? And if in the land of peace, wherein thou trusted, they wearied thee, then how
wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan”
Are we (Canada) under judgment? “We and our fathers have sinned” Lord, we sinned greatly with a
high hand. We kill a ¼ of our unborn. We kill our elderly and mentally ill. We demand that
homosexuality and the vile perversions coming from it not only be tolerated but celebrated and
promoted. As we, as a nation, are despising You, hatred for You and Your people has become more
popular. Why is evil succeeding?
We’re already weary of running with footmen. And are You saying we haven’t seen anything yet?
I would call us to repentance. All, from the highest government, court and military leaders to those on
the street. It may be that God will still grant us mercy. We have made gods of government, medicine
and science and now they are failing us and controlling us. We, the, Church, need to repent. We need
Your grace of repentance to work in us. We need to turn to You with our whole heart. We need to
forsake all other gods, not just give You top place among the gods.
Lord have mercy. In wrath remember mercy. Raise up a remnant in this nation. Thank You for the
faithful who are staying true. Thank You other who are being stirred and awakened. Revive my heart,
O God. Help us Lord in these days to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow You
How to say it? I feel such heaviness lately form what I see happening. And Jeremiah just made it
stronger. You are sovereign and You do win. I read the last chapter. But will I, will we stay true to the
end?
