Junior has found a new song which seems appropriate right now. He keeps singing over and over:
Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper, Light in the Darkness, My God, that is who You are. (Way Maker, Sinach, 2015)
Lord, You are all these and so much more. Each day we see more and more our need for You in these days. You said, “Let there be light.” And there was light. We need You to be our light in our darkness these days. We get pulled into the darkness easily. But I do thank You for showing us our weakness. We’ve always completely needed You. Now we’re starting to believe it:)
If any of you lack wisdom, well that would be all of us, let him ask of God. We can be sooooo sure of a situation. But one little previously unknown fact can enter in and change the whole story.
“Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore, let thy words be few. (Ecclesiastes. 5:2 KJV)
You are the Promise Keeper. We are in Your hand and no one can pluck us out. (John 10:29)
You also will perfect that which concerns us. The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands. (Psalm 138:8 KJV)
We again ask for mercy, forsake not the works (us) of Your own hands. In asking this, we choose to live it, like we really believe we are in Your hands and the works of Your hands.
We need You to be our Way Maker. I, at first, think of You making a way for me. But that’s all about me.
Really its You that is the Way. Lord help us see enough to be going with You in the way that You are going.
Its not about us and our way. Its not about my dreams, my success, or my happiness. You lead us through many separate paths that gather into the narrow road which takes us to the City. Help us be alert and careful to stay on the Road.
That is the miracle. That You can redeem us and take us to Heaven. We will walk this road we singing the song of the redeemed.
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
